I CAN SWIM IN THESE WATERS

Heavy Like Rain by American Artist

"Ballast yourself with reality. Then, throw yourself into the sea." - Victor Hugo

We all live two lives; the outer and the inner. The choices we make about how to move through the outer world are comprised of things we can see or hear; work, clothes, the objects we collect, the music we listen to, our spoken words. These things convey an image of how we are, but they only hint at who we are.

When I can accept the reality of the physical world, I am in a good place to begin a journey inward. From there, I can throw myself into the infinite ocean of possibility and the endlessness of constantly arriving. There are no limits to my inner life, who I can become, what I can learn and achieve. There is no ageism or gravity in the vastness of potential. Everyone is welcome here.

I know that when I nurture this inner life, the choices I make in my outer life tend to mold me into the shape I most want to take. There is no fear of drowning when I am floating on the boundless dream of a better me. 'Now' is always a good time to remember that there is a portal to the divine in everything - including our pain.

I can swim in these waters.
